What is an event planner?

To be an event planner being an uber-organized creative firecracker is a massive step in the right direction. Planners mount fashion shows, product launches, fund-raising galas and weddings. You book the venue, hire models, manage decor, work with fashion designers, create invitations and guest lists, design the runway, create seating arrangement, work with on-site suppliers, order flowers, select the menu, choose the wine, and, of course, you’re on hand during the event, making sure everything runs smoothly – and when it doesn’t, making sure no one knows! You may also be involved in advertising and promotion, and dealing with celebrities and well-heeled patrons adds another layer of excitement. Basically, it’s up to you to take care of every single detail, from concept to the event’s grand finale.
